External Conferences and Events
Hydrogen Pathways Program researchers are frequent speakers at conferences and other events throughout the world. This section highlights some of the most recent presentations, papers, and posters that have been presented.
1. Future Transportation Energy: Opportunities and Challenges January 23, 2007
ITS Davis researchers Anthony Eggert, Dan Sperling, Joan Ogden, and Tom Turrentine along with DOE/ORNL senior scientist David Greene briefed senior congressional and agency staff at the US Capitol on January 23, 2007. The briefing, sponsored by Congressman Mike Thompson, focused on transportation technologies and fuels that have the potential to dramatically reduce petroleum consumption and greenhouse gas emissions from the transport sector.
2. 17th Annual NHA Hydrogen Conference 2006 March 12 - 16, 2006
The Hydrogen Pathways Program had seven presentations at the National Hydrogen Association Annual Conference in Long Beach in March 2006. UC Davis represented one quarter of all the University and National Lab presentations at the conference.
3. 21st Annual Electric Vehicle Symposium (EVS 21) April 2 - 6, 2005
The 2005 Electric Vehicle Symposium was held in Monaco and attracted over 1,000 participants and greater than 9,000 visitors to the exhibition. Three Hydrogen Pathways Program researchers presented a paper at this year's conference.
4. 16th Annual NHA Hydrogen Conference 2005 March 29 - April 1, 2005
The 16th Annual National Hydrogen Association Conference was held in Washington DC this year and attracted over 1,000 participants. Three researchers from the Hydrogen Pathways Program gave presentations at the conference and an additional six researchers provided poster presentations.
5. Brief to the Senate Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Caucus January 11, 2005
ITS - Davis professors Dan Sperling, Joan Ogden, Ken Kurani, and Hydrogen Pathways associate director Anthony Eggert, together with Catherine Dunwoody, Executive Director of the California Fuel Cell Partnership (CaFCP), met to brief the Senate Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Caucus on January 11, 2005 in Washington D.C.
6. California Hydrogen Highway Network Blueprint Fall 2004
Hydrogen Pathways researchers played a strong role providing technical guidance and analysis for the California Hydrogen Highways Network Blueprint Plan. Professor Joan Ogden was the academic advisor to the Blueprint Panel. Other H2 Pathways researchers who contributed their expertise to the topic teams include Obadiah Bartholomy, Gustavo Collantes, Anthony Eggert, Jonathan Hughes, Tim Lipman, Ryan McCarthy, Marshal Miller, Jonathan Weinert, and Chris Yang. In the process of advising the panel, the H2 Pathways program provided backup and analysis to the H2HNet team.
7. 15th Annual NHA Hydrogen Conference 2004 April 26 - 30, 2004
The Researchers and Graduate Students in Hydrogen Pathways were well represented at the National Hydrogen Association Conference in Los Angeles, CA in April 26 - 30, 2004. On this page, you can find the paper proceedings, presentations and posters from the conference.
