Summary
With a background in electrical engineering and working since 1987 for PETROBRAS, late Brazilian oil company and now a energy company and one of the program’s sponsors, Paulo Isabel has a large experience in electrical maintenance of systems and equipment mainly used in the petroleum industry. He has started his career working in exploration oil platforms and has now been working at CENPES Research Center of Petrobras since 1992 , initially in the maintenance department and more recently in the Gas & Energy department. He has been working on the development of tools for the management and commercialization of energy at the new thermoelectricity scenario integrated with the current hydroelectricity interconnected system and fuel cell projects. He is finishing his Master’s Degree in Energy Planning at COPPE/UFRJ (Graduate School and Research in Engineering - Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute/Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). His main focus in the Hydrogen Pathways Program is to analyze the expansion of gas pipelines planned to be built by Petrobras under its strategic planning in order to use them in the future with hydrogen or even with a mixture of hydrogen and natural gas.
