Summary
With a background in mechanical engineering and economics, Antoine works for one of the program’ sponsors, TOTAL, the French oil company. He obtained a master degree in business administration from the IAE of Grenoble (Institut d’administration des Entreprises) in 2003, and a master in Mechanical and Aeronautics Engineering in 2002 (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et d’Aérotechnique, Poitiers). He previously worked in the USA at the University of Washington, Seattle, where he researched new designs for gas turbine injectors in order to reduce pollutant emissions. His main focus within the Hydrogen Pathways Program is analyzing a hydrogen refueling stations infrastructure.
Hydrogen pathways research interests
Evaluation of several options for a refueling station infrastructure in a market driven situation:
Antoine is using real-life data on vehicle demand at refueling stations to assess the feasibility of several technical options when confronted to real market situations. Major work included analyzing demand profiles for TOTAL refueling stations in France, and building a model to account for the existing seasonalities at refueling stations and their influence on H2 refueling stations.
Infrastructure analysis using GIS:
Based on GIS maps of TOTAL refueling stations in France, also showing the fuel output for each station, Antoine focuses on understanding the existing refueling station infrastructure, both at a local and nationwide level. Based on these data, a judgmental model is being developed to find out what a hydrogen infrastructure could look like.
