Hydrogen Pathways Research Workshop, September 2006
With the title “What have we learned in the Hydrogen Pathways Program?” the research workshop contained a broad range of synthesizing talks from the Hydrogen Pathways Researchers.
With more than 70 participants, this falls Research Workshop was the most attended through all times in the program. Some of the sponsors were also giving presentations to reflect on some of the major findings in the Program and where we are now compared to 2003 when the Hydrogen Pathways Research Program started. The Pathways Program has been one great contributor in the debate about future transportation directions and all sponsors expressed great appreciation to the Program Director with comments like "This program has been of immense value to us", "We trust and respect what you all have to say" and "When are these students graduating? We're looking for top-notch people".
The key questions that were asked in the workshop were:
- Who Will Buy a Hydrogen Car?
- Where Will the Hydrogen Come From?
- What Would a Hydrogen Infrastructure Look Like?
- How Could We Make a Transition to Hydrogen?
- What are the Societal Costs and Benefits of Hydrogen (Compared to Alternatives)?
- What are Policy and Business Strategies for Hydrogen? What Should We Do Now?
